| WHAT WE DO
The intent of this website is to inform, educate, and entertain. It is very much a work-in-progress, and will be updated often. Our goal is to eventually document every known card and result for every promoter or promotion we find, no matter how major or obscure. Within each promotion, we will log their cards and results and any championship titles they recognized, whether it be local, regional, or worldwide status. We cover events dating back to self-promoted shows dating back to 1887 (so far) through professionally promoted cards run today. In addition, we also intend to account for everyone who has ever appeared in a Georgia ring by providing you with information such as their real name, all known aliases used here, birth dates and death dates where we know them, etc. Along with that information you will find which promotions you can find them listed in on our site, and if they have been honored by any organizations or publications for their work, we will make a note of that, too. Also, we will attempt to create a page on the site for every one of these people, as well as those who never wrestled a match, such as announcer, promoters, etc. And that’s not all – we are also trying to find pictures for everyone. We are not just documenting the humans, either. There are alligators, gorillas, and bears we must also account for as a part of this process. Then there are the additional official websites we have created that honor some of Georgia’s biggest names – Johnny “Mr. Wrestling #2” Walker, Bill “the Masked Superstar” Eadie, Jody “the Assassin” Hamilton, the Monroes (Sputnik, Rocket, Flash and Jet), and “Big” Bill Dromo. These are not just tribute pages – they are fully endorsed by these people who are staunch supporters of what GWH is doing. We have also transitioned to covering the current wrestling scene in Georgia, because after all, last night’s card is history today. We also now cover groups from Alabama, Florida, Tennessee and the Carolinas, in the interest of 1) providing exposure to the promotions and wrestlers, and 2) keeping fans along the borders aware of what may be going on just over the line.
