It is unclear as to how Eddie Gossett & Art Nelson came to be recognized as World Tag Team Champions. The last reference we have shows Jack O’Brien & Pierre LaSalle defeating Roger Mackay & Jackie Nichols to win the title on March 23, 1956, in Atlanta. The Zebra Kid was initially ruled the winner of his match with Billy Blassie, but the decision was reversed by the referee.

The program we have for this card continues to reference Bill Hartman (Ticket Sales) and Simon Davis (Timekeeper) as part of the office staff in Atlanta. This same program is the first we have that provides information on the local televised “Live Atlanta Wrestling”, which can be seen “on Channel 11 every Monday night at 10:15”, with a plug to sponsor Budweiser Beer. Ed Capral has been hosting since he replaced Ray McCay sometime in 1955. It was announced that Chris Tolos, Fred Atkins, and Prince Emir would be wrestling in Atlanta soon, and that Paul Jones was negotiating with Bill Parks for some dates.
