Then the legal Dr. M returned to the ring, and was also unmasked, being identified as Oki Shikina, whom Gentleman X still claimed was Senor Zapata and not Oki Shikina. It was announced that Jack Crawford’s appeal to the NWA Board to be reinstated had been denied, and in addition, they had fined him $1,000 for his actions during the past year. Mr. Wrestling was initially declared the winner on the match with El Mongol, but Mongol had knocked referee Leo Garibaldi and Louie Tillet, who had run in to help, made the count. The decision was reversed afterward by Garibaldi, saying Tillet was not a licensed referee. He did, however, disqualify Mongol for his actions. Gentleman X said that the Big O would unmask and reveal his identity after he defeated all the masked men in Georgia. Capral responded that he would have his hands full in trying to defeat Mr. Wrestling. X replied that O had already defeated Mr. Wrestling years ago in Kansas City when he was wrestling under his real name of Tim Woods. Paul Jones announced that Jack Crawford had visited him during the week, and was on crutches, claiming he had been in an automobile accident, which seemed ironic since Gentleman X walked with a limp. In the program for this card, Paul Jones claimed he felt the Big O on the May 3, 1968, card was bigger and seemed stronger than the original Big O who had been here previously. It has been rumored that Tim Woods, who had been wrestling as Mr. Wrestling, was unhappy that he had been asked to not only leave the promotion following his match with the Big O, but to also unmask and finally reveal his identity. Though it had long been speculated he was Tim Woods, he was reportedly upset with this request and left the company abruptly following this card. The match between Louie Tillet and El Mongol was reportedly a bloodbath. There were two referees for the match between Tillet and Mongol. Leo Garibaldi was credited as being a referee on this card. The program for this card mentioned that Bob Armstrong was considering leaving his full-time position as a firefighter. It was announced that Pat O’Connor, Hans Schmidt, Mario Galento, Joyce Grable, the Fabulous Moolah, and the Infernos would be wrestling on the card on May 31, 1968, and that Tarzan Tyler would be wrestling in Atlanta soon. Gentleman X (1) managed Tarzan Tyler, Johnny Valentine & El Mongol. During their match, Valentine turned on Tyler because he felt Tyler was not helping the team. It was mentioned in the program for this card that Paul Jones believed the Gentleman X that appeared on the May 31, 1968, card was J.C. Dykes, but that the original X was actually Crawford all along. He said that if Crawford’s team had lost on this card and X was revealed to be either Dykes or Crawford, one or both would be suspended. Gentleman X had vowed to unmask if his team did not win. The win allowed Jack Crawford to return from his suspension, alleviating Gentleman X from his duties, and made it all moot.
