winner in the match against Mongol, but Mongol had knocked out referee Leo Garibaldi, and Tillet, who had run in to help, made the
count. The decision was reversed afterward by Garibaldi, saying Tillet was not a licensed referee. Garibaldi did, however, disqualify
Mongol for his actions. Mongol had been billed as Georgia Heavyweight Champion since October 10, 1967.

managed Big O and Mongol. Following his match against Big O, Steinborn announced to Capral that he believed the masked man was
Bob Orton. Gentleman X said Big O would unmask and reveal his identity after he eliminated all the masked men in Georgia. Capral
responded that he would have his hands full in trying to defeat Mr. Wrestling. Gentleman X replied that Big O had already beaten Mr.
Wrestling years ago in Kansas City when he was wrestling under his real name of Tim Woods. Jones announced that Jack Crawford
had visited him during the week, and was on crutches, claiming he had been in an automobile accident, which seemed ironic to him
since Gentleman X walked with a limp.

May 10, 1968 (Friday) – Atlanta, GA – Atlanta Municipal Auditorium [P] (Paul Jones (01) – Promoter / Georgia Championship
Wrestling) > Bobby Hart over Silento Rodriguez > Jim Wilson over Oki Shikina > Tank Morgan over Johnny Walker (01) > Enrique Torres &

ended in a no contest; Gunkel & Fuller retained the title / Notes: Dick Steinborn was the special referee for the Big O-Mr. Wrestling match.
Mr. Wrestling had been the reigning Georgia Heavyweight Champion since he went over Mongol on May 3, 1968, in Atlanta. Gentleman X
(01) managed Schmidt, Big O, and Mongol. Gunkel and Fuller had been the reigning World Tag Team Champions since they went over
Stan Vachon and Butcher Vachon on January 19, 1968, in Atlanta. In the program for this card, Jones claimed he felt the Big O who
appeared on the May 3, 1968, card was bigger and seemed stronger than the original Big O who had been here previously. Mr. Wrestling
was initially supposed to unmask following the match against Big O, but Tim Woods, who had been wrestling as Mr. Wrestling, was
unhappy that he had been asked to unmask and reveal his identity. It has been reported that despite the fact the stipulation was dropped
and changed to a loser leaves match, he left the company abruptly following this card. Further, management had not wanted the loser
leaves stipulation to stick, and were going to use it as an angle and have him continue to wrestle, and his departure, not realized until two
days later, caught them by surprise, forcing them to use a new person under the mask to keep the storyline going. It was announced that
Dick Steinborn would be wrestling on the card on May 17, 1968.

May 11, 1968 (Saturday) – Atlanta, GA – WQXI Studios (Paul Jones (01) – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > El
Mongol over Bobby Hart > Oki Shikina over Silento Rodriguez > Dick Steinborn over Tank Morgan / Notes: This was for the “Live
Atlanta Wrestling television program hosted by Ed Capral. Gentleman X (01) managed Mongol. Despite Mr. Wrestling losing a loser
leaves match to the Big O on May 10, 1968, Gentleman X begged Jones to allow him back for one more match against Mongol if Mr.
Wrestling would unmask should he lose, to which Jones agreed and advertised for May 17, 1968.

Hart and Oki Shikina went to a draw > Silento Rodriguez over Tommy Davidson > Enrique Torres over Tank Morgan > Alberto Torres over
Hans Schmidt by disqualification / Notes: Gentleman X (01) managed Schmidt.

May 17, 1968 (Friday) – Atlanta, GA – Paul Jones Sports Arena [P] (Paul Jones (01) – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling)
> Pedro Valdez and Silento Rodriguez went to a draw > Johnny Walker (01) & Jim Wilson over the Rising Suns (Motoshi Okuma & Shinya
Kojika) > Louie Tillet over Oki Shikina > Enrique Torres & Alberto Torres over Tony Nero & Tank Morgan > El Mongol over Mr. Wrestling
(02) > Dick Steinborn over Hans Schmidt by disqualification / Notes: Gentleman X (01) managed Schmidt and Mongol. As part of the
stipulation, Mr. Wrestling was forced to unmask following the match against Mongol, and was identified as Dick Steinborn, who had been
advertised as himself, but was put under the mask when management realized Tim Woods, the original Mr. Wrestling, had left the
company over being asked to unmask.

May 18, 1968 (Saturday) – Atlanta, GA – WQXI Studios (Paul Jones (01) – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Jim
Wilson over Tony Nero > Dick Steinborn & Pedro Valdez over Hans Schmidt & El Mongol by disqualification > Tank Morgan over Bobby

Silento Rodriguez over Jack Vansky > Bobby Hart over Pedro Valdez at 11:00 > Johnny Walker (01) & Jim Wilson over Tony Nero & Tank
Morgan > Ray Gunkel & Enrique Torres & Alberto Torres over Oki Shikina & the Rising Suns (Motoshi Okuma & Shinya Kojika) > Louie
Tillet over El Mongol > Georgia Heavyweight Title Match: the Big O (02)* and Dick Steinborn went to a draw at 60:00; Big O retained the
title / Notes: Big O voluntarily unmasked prior to match and revealed himself as Johnny Valentine. Valentine had been the reigning
Georgia Heavyweight Champion since he went over Mr. Wrestling on May 10, 1968, in Atlanta. Gentleman X (01) managed Big O and
Mongol. There were two referees for the Tillet-Mongol match, which was reportedly a bloodbath. Leo Garibaldi was credited as being a
referee on this card. The program for this card mentioned that Bob Armstrong was considering leaving his full-time position as a
firefighter. It was announced that Pat O’Connor, Hans Schmidt, Mario Galento, Joyce Grable (01), the Fabulous Moolah, and the
Infernos (Inferno #1 and Inferno #2) would be wrestling on the card on May 31, 1968, and that Tarzan Tyler would be wrestling in Atlanta
soon.

Okuma & Shinya Kojika) > Women’s World Title Match: the Fabulous Moolah* over Joyce Grable (01) to retain the title > Pat Oâ
€™Connor & Mario Galento over the Infernos (Inferno #1 & Inferno #2) > Southern Tag Team Title Match: Enrique Torres & Alberto Torres
over Hans Schmidt & El Mongol* to win the title / Notes: J.C. Dykes managed the Infernos. Jim Wilson was the special referee for the
Schmidt/Mongol-Torres match. Gentleman X (02) managed Schmidt and Mongol. Jack Crawford also appeared at the request of Jones,
so that he could see both Crawford and Gentleman X at the same place and time. Armstrong was quoted in the program for this card that
he had resigned as a firefighter to devote his time to wrestling. Moolah had been billed as Women’s World Champion since she
went over Judy Grable on September 18, 1956, in Baltimore, MD. Schmidt and Mongol had been the reigning Southern Tag Team
Champions since they went over the Torres’ on April 26, 1968, in Atlanta.

Tim Geohagen versus Jack Vansky > Mario Galento over Oki Shikina > the Rising Suns (Motoshi Okuma & Shinya Kojika) over Johnny
Walker (01) & Bobby Hart > Bob Armstrong over Tank Morgan > Louie Tillet over El Mongol > Johnny Valentine & Jack Crawford & Tarzan
Tyler over Jim Wilson & Enrique Torres & Alberto Torres / Notes: Gentleman X (01) managed Tyler, Valentine, and Mongol. During their
match, Valentine turned on Tyler because he felt Tyler was not helping the team. It was mentioned in the program for this card that Jones
believed the Gentleman X that appeared on the May 31, 1968, card was J.C. Dykes, but that the original X was actually Crawford all along.
He said that if Crawford’s team had lost on this card and X was revealed to be either Dykes or Crawford, one or both would be
suspended. Gentleman X had vowed to unmask if his team did not win. The win allowed Crawford to return from his suspension,
relieving Gentleman X from his duties, and made it all moot. It was announced that Gene Kiniski would be wrestling Pat O’Connor on
the card on June 14, 1968, and that Guillotine Gordon would be wrestling on the same card.
