The infamous “Black Saturday� episode aired on July 14, 1984, with Freddie Miller introducing Vince McMahon was the host, who
went on to broadcast taped matches from the World Wrestling Federation. McMahon had been working for months to buy the company,
and reportedly had controlling interest already, but was still looking to purchase the remaining shares belonging to Ole Anderson and
Fred Ward.
