| The name Anderson, especially when followed by the word brothers, speaks volumes to fans from Georgia. In October 1966, the reign of dominance began when Lars and Gene Anderson entered the territory. It didn’t take long for them to work their way to the top of the cards and right into a full blown feud with the Torres brothers. They won the Southern Tag Team Championship twice in 1967, and were also recognized as World Tag Team Champions that same year. They made a few appearances together in the 1970s, but none as strong as those classic battles with the Torres brothers. |
