INSIDE OUT: How Corporate America Destroyed Professional Wrestling
Release Date: November 2003 / Authors: Ole Anderson and Scott Teal / Publisher: Crowbar Press
--- Count me among the fans of this book. Ole is Ole and pulls no punches, and while you can argue with his
opinions and question some of his facts, there's no question where he stands. It's a compelling read. Highly
recommended. (Crimson Mask)
--- To date, the best wrestling book I have read.  Ole took a no-holds-barred approach toward telling his story,
much like he ran his part of the business.  If you haven't read it due to some bias that got between you and the
book, you are sorely missing a masterpiece.  Recommended to have a better understanding of the business, as
well as Ole Anderson. (Rich Tate)
--- A brilliant piece of work.  Recommend you get this one at any cost. (Mick N. Brawler)

IN THE PIT WITH PIPER: Roddy Gets Rowdy
Release Date: November 2002 / Authors: Roddy Piper and Robert Picarello / Publisher: Berkley Trade
--- Didn't live up to my expectations.  As much as I enjoyed Piper's work, I thought this could have been world's
better than it came out.  Recommended to Piper marks only. (Mick N. Brawler)

"IS THAT WRESTLING FAKE?": the Bear Facts
Release Date: January 2007 / Authors: Ivan Koloff and Scott Teal / Publisher: Crowbar Press
--- Though not as in depth as previous efforts from Crowbar Press, it is still better than most books on the
market.  Koloff sticks to stories rather than go into the business end of things, which is understandable
considering he never really played a pivotal role behind the scenes.  The tales from the road aids the reader in
understanding the theme of the closing chapters, as he discusses how his wild life became one focused on his
faith.  A nice touch is the chapter written by his wife, Renae.  There are also many rare photographs I had never
seen before that provide nice visuals.  Blackjack Mulligan, a dear friend of the Koloffs, wrote the final chapter.
Strongly recommended. (Rich Tate)

IT'S GOOD TO BE KING: SOMETIMES
Release Date: December 2002 / Authors: Jerry Lawler and Doug Asheville / Publisher: World Wrestling
Entertainment
--- This was mainly an attempt by Lawler to get his wife back I think, which didn't work. Very disappointing book
considering what it could and should have been. Lawler's lack of detail annoys me. I recommend you find a
different book, Lawler couldn't Teflon his way through this one, though Lord knows he tried. (Trent Van Drisse)

I WAS A TEENAGE PROFESSIONAL WRESTLER
Release Date: April 1993 / Authors: Ted Lewin / Publisher: Orchard Books
--- Although a very short book, everything in the text is gold, particularly the insights into characters like Dr. Jerry
Graham, Kola Kwariani, Ted's more famous (in wrestling anyway) brother Mark, and Frank Hickey, but the major
thing in this book is Ted's incredible artwork---paintings, sketches and photographs. You gotta see this stuff.
Absolutely recommended. (Crimson Mask)
