PAIN AND PASSION: the History of Stampede Wrestling

--- I missed the initial release of this book, but am most certainly pleased to have caught the recently released
revised and expanded edition. Wrestling in Calgary was always under the radar, for the most part, but it gave us
many of the key figures in the business over the last twenty-plus years. The author has done a terrific job of
showing just how important this territory was to the pro wrestling world. Highly recommended. (Rich Tate)

Canadian. The Great White North receives a terrific treatment here, and it is a fantastic source of reference.

--- Incredible, but not unexpectedly. Oliver's first effort on Canadians was superb, and his teaming with Johnson
to put out a book on teams surpasses most other books. Almost any team together for any length of time gets a
profile, and most who are still alive are quoted within. The only thing you won't like is if they determined your
favorite team didn't rank high enough in their personal poll of the Top 25, but as far as I was concerned, it didn't
differ much from my own personal list. Recommended without hesitation. (Rich Tate)

--- I thought this was a fascinating book. I have always had an interest in pro wrestling in England, and Billington
tells a great, though tragic in the end, story, in his real and cranky way. Great read. I highly recommend this book.
