| June 29, 2007 Update on WWE Status in Italy In an update on the earlier story about SmackDown being cancelled in Italy, it has since come to our attention that WWE still has programming in the country, including RAW, Heat, ECW, as well as Experience, which is reportedly a recap show, all said to air on Sky Italia. There is apparently also a daily news show covering WWE that is broadcast on Sport Italia. “Although losing Smackdown will hurt,” says Max Levy, “it hardly kills the WWE's business in Italy as has been implied.” However, it is important to note that while Italia 1 is a network available in every home in the nation, Sky Italia and Sport Atalia are available only to those serviced through Astra satellite. |
