Deep South Wrestling Results – Locust Grove, GA

Deep South Wrestling results from Locust Grove, GA, on July 19: Adrian Hawkins over Kid Ego; Scott Blaze (formerly Scott Fantastic) over Jay Clinton; Caleb Konley over Harley Wood; Rick Michaels over Scott Blaze (Blaze replaced a no-show); Truitt Fields & Phil Shatter over Murder One & Alexander the Great by disqualification; and Austin Creed over Pretty Boy Floyd (with Mr. Donnie).

From promoter
Jody Hamilton:

On Hawkins-Ego match – “Two cruiser weights that worked very hard; I was pleasantly with the ring skills of Kid Ego.  Hawkins, I already knew was good.  They had a good match.”

On Clinton-Blaze match – “The first 5-minutes of an 8:36 match was very good, then Clinton blew-up so bad he couldn’t even talk, but he managed to finish the match and it was good.  Scott looks great and it’s good to have him back in DSW.”

On Wood-Konley match – “Big-guy (Wood), smaller guy (Konley); good match.”

On Michaels-Blaze match – “Both worked very hard and had a good match.”

On Fields/Shatter-M1/Alexander match – “Murder One & Floyd make a very good team and Fields and Shatter were a very pleasant surprise.  Both with their looks and their ring skills.  Very good match.”

On Floyd-Creed match – “A lot of excitement, but no clear cut pin-fall.  A very good match up to that point.”

On the overall show – “There were a lot of kids on that show last night that have great potential; they just need some solid direction to hone their skills.  Overall the show was a very good event.  The crowd was down a little, but those there were very enthusiastic fans.  Hard work and effort are big in my book.  Last night there was evidence of hard work and tremendous effort all the way up and down the card.  I saw some rookie mistakes, but that is quite normal, and I didn’t see as many as I have in the past.  On hard work and effort alone I give the show a 9.”

The next card is set for July 26, where they will have eight teams participate in a one-night tournament for the DSW Tag Team Title.
