Plea Deal in Albany Steroid Case

Dr. Claire Godfrey reportedly avoided doing prison time by plea bargaining with Albany, NY, District Attorney David Soares.

This case, linking numerous
WWE wrestlers is targeting the Signature Compound Pharmacy in Orlando, FL, part of the investigation the DEA was participating in that led to them having knowledge of Chris Benoit being a “heavy user” prior to the double murder-suicide last month, though Benoit was not directly linked to Godfrey.

Godfrey was facing charges of providing illegal prescriptions for steroids exceeding a value of more than $1.3 million.  In exchange for remaining free, Godfrey has agreed to testify for the prosecution’s case against the pharmacy.
