HBO Real Sports Pulls Wrestling Piece
We had mentioned here recently that HBO’s Real Sports would be premiering a segment called “the Life� on their August 14
episode. However, it appears the plug has been pulled on that. The main page on the website for the program still lists it, but the actual
episode page no longer mentions it at all.
We have learned that they were concerned about the credibility of wrestlers who agreed to appear. They apparently wanted Hulk Hogan,
who reportedly declined.
They also wanted Konnan based on his outspoken appearances on the nightly cable programs in June and July. However, TNA
allegedly sent them a letter claiming he was trying to blackmail them in recent weeks into being able to work at TNA again, HBO is said to
have pulled back on using him.
