| March 28, 2008 NAWA Ring Champions Results from 03/27 From Rich Tate: NAWA Ring Champions results from the National Guard Armory in Rome, GA, on March 27: in what was to be the semi-final round of a tag team title tournament, the Exotic Ones (Rick Michaels & Simon Sermon) won the title by defeating Kyle Matthews & Kid Ego after the other semi-final featuring Tyler Smith & Murder One versus HCP ended in a double disqualification, eliminating both teams; Lamar Phillips over Jay Clinton; Chris Ganz and Jason Valentine wrestled to a draw; Michael Cross over bruiser Mitchell, and then Cross went to a no contest with the American Patriot. The advertised card changed quite a bit due to injuries and scheduling conflicts, according to promoter Phil Heffner. The attendance was reported as 135, and included Charlie Smith, Ted Allen, Juanita Timbs, Gene Luvell, and Southern Extreme Championship Wrestling promoter Scott East. |
