| Monday, April 21, 2008 GWP Update From Larry Goodman: Georgia Wrestling Promotions owner Roger Cantrell provided the card for their upcoming show in Woodstock, GA, direct from his bed at Northside Cherokee Hospital. Cantrell has been hospitalized for 42 days. He was admitted for cellulitis related to his diabetes, contracted pneumonia while he was there, and then was diagnosed with kidney failure. He's now on dialysis. When Cantrell goes home, he will need to be in a wheelchair and on oxygen. The above not withstanding, Cantrell said the April 27 show at the Hot Wheels Skate Center is on. Note that the bell time has moved up to 7:30pm. The card is not complete. Matches being advertised at this time include a 20 man Battle Royal with the final two to meet to determine the new GWP Champion on June 1 (The title was vacated by Shaun Tempers), Masked Superstar vs. ?, Murder One vs. Jamar Acid, Jesse Wade & Tommy Rich vs. Flatliner & Locomotive, Diamond Icee vs. Brandy Scotch Baker, Hot Like Lava (Cru Jones & Shawn Banks) vs. Steve Lawler & Terry Lawler is the main event. Buff Bagwell and the Gangsta Nation are also booked. Tickets are $10. Children 5 and under admitted free. For further information call 770-296-5290. The June 1 show has Buff vs. Raven.
