Following the Graham/Steinborn-Assassins match, Graham’s head was bleeding
badly, and he claimed Assassin #2 had something in his mask that caused the
injury. Graham and Steinborn had been the reigning United Tag Team Champions as
recognized by the Tampa, FL, office since they went over Tojo Yamamoto and Taro
Myaki (02) on November 30, 1961, in Jacksonville, FL. It is unclear as to how the
Gaullois’ came to be recognized as International Tag Team Champions. The last
reference we have shows Gypsy Joe and Skull Murphy defending the title against Bill
Dromo and Chief Little Eagle on April 3, 1961, in Augusta. It was announced that Rito
Carreon and Tito Carreon would be wrestling on the card on January 12, 1962, and

the title / Notes: Jack Crawford managed Shikina and Dr. M. The Vachons had been
the reigning Southern Tag Team Champions since they went over the Torres’ on
December 18, 1967, in Augusta. The program for this card had Crawford announcing
that Fuller was actually Ed Welch. He also provided a photo of El Mongol holding the
Georgia Heavyweight Title belt, with Mexico City in the background, while calling for
his reinstatement to wrestle in Georgia. It was reported in the program that Jones
was facing opposition from the NWA Board in an effort to declare the title vacant,
where Crawford supposedly had attorneys appealing the suspension. It was
announced that Gene Kiniski would be wrestling Mr. Wrestling on the card on January
12, 1968.

television program hosted by Gordon Solie and Les Thatcher. Gary Hart managed
Angus. Jimmy Garvin managed Garvin. On this episode, it was announced that the
Georgia Tag Team Title, held by Bobby Shane and Gorgeous George, Jr., was held
up because George, Jr., was injured. Shane and George, Jr., had been the reigning
Georgia Tag Team Champions since they went over Fuller and Bob Armstrong on
December 21, 1973, in Atlanta. Hart, who managed Shane and George, Jr., joined
Solie and Thatcher, and accused Tim Woods of hurting George, Jr., intentionally in an
attempt to end their reign as champions. The injury to George had occurred on
December 29, 1973, on television. Hart suggested he may issue a bounty on Woods
to get even.
