04/06/2012 – Longtime Wrestling Announcer Passes Away

Miguel Alonso passed away on Friday night, about a half-hour after being removed from life support. He was 89. Alonso began his announcing career in the 1960s,
handling the Spanish broadcasts for Los Angeles. He eventually worked with the WWF in the 1980s during the national expansion, and later with WCW in the 1990s.
We pass along our condolences to his friends and family.
