August 30, 2007

The evening began with the action starting off with two of the quickest wrestlers on the WWA4 roster, in Michael Black & Ace Voleur. Ace maintained a solid effort throughout the match, however in the end was vanquished by the experience and competitive edge of Michael Black. After winning the battle, Michael grabbed the microphone, and proclaimed that everyone had witnessed yet another great moment in Black history.

The second match really kicked things into high gear, with the battle of the sexes returning to the WWA4 asylum. 2 weeks prior, Lucia had defeated Jay Hurley in a quick upset that turned everyone on their ear, however on this night Jay Hurley seemed more determine to prove who is (in his opinion) the dominant gender. Lucia managed to hit several maneuvers, including a series of Hurricanranas, however after Lucia was dropped face first on the bottom rope courtesy of a drop toe hold, she failed to regain the advantage, and Hurley was able to finish her off with the reverse DDT.

The third match of the evening was a rematch for the WWA4 Internet Championship, with Tex once again defending the title against Reece Royale. Reece, sporting a new look, promised in a heated pre-match interview that he would NOT be embarrassed again. Tex Monroe kept the pace quick for this very aggressive match, however just when it looked like Tex would finally finish off his nemesis once and for all, Mason and Devin Cutter hit the ring, attacking Tex, allowing Reece to escape with his head still intact. The double teaming of Monroe however did not last for long, as the building was brought to its feet by the return of Jonathan Davis! Davis came in and cleared the ring, demanding a piece of both Mason & Devin Cutter, storming backstage to speak with the WWA4 officials about making the match for later in the evening.

Next up was Bill the Bruiser and the ever improving Chris Deal, who showed a more aerial based arsenal, delivering both a springboard clothesline and standing moonsault. Bruisers strategy however, was also not lacking, showing a far more aggressive and violent nature then in previous weeks, at one point nearly knocking the referee unconscious with his trusty chain. Bruiser delivered a stiff clothesline that turned Chris Deal inside out, however it wasn't enough to keep the ever popular deal down, and it was Deal scoring the win in the end via "the deal breaker".

Taylor McKnight announced that Jonathan Davis had been granted a match with the Hooligans, however would have to find a partner. Fans were delighted to see Tex Monroe return to the corner of Jonathan Davis, looking for retribution of his own from the attack earlier. The Hooligans hit the ring fast and furious, and a wild brawl quickly developed. When the referee managed to regain order, The Hooligans set the pace of the match, isolating Jonathan Davis and working over the already exhausted Tex, who as reported had wrestled once before already. Despite some quick new maneuvers by the returning Jonathan Davis, the odds eventually caught up with the fly by night tag team, and The Hooligans finished Davis off with a modified version of their guillotine maneuver.

In the main event, Cameron Valentine defended the WWA4 Championship against Amien Rios, the man who turned on him just one week prior, following a successfully tag team victory. Rios was all business, trying to speed the match tempo up with lucha like quickness, however it was Valentine maintaining much of the control during the early portions of the match with submission based wrestling. Valentine worked over the legs early on, however it was the aforementioned speed of Rios that quickly turned things in favor of Rios, unleashing a series of quick striking blows to Valentine, connecting twice in the head with kicks of fury that struck with the force of a raging thunderstorm, and the quickness of a tornado. Valentine, clearly dazed from the attack, fought back with everything he had, however just when it looked like Valentine might survive his toughest title match ever, Reece Royale made his way uninvited to ringside, and distracted the champion. This allowed Amien Rios to load a foreign object into his elbow pad, before delivering a vicious knockout blow to Cameron, by way of the most vicious hellbow anyone has ever seen Rios deliver. Rios made the cover and the three count was academic, but as Rios celebrated with his newly won WWA4 Championship, his carelessly allowed the referee to view the foreign object still sticking out from his ring gear. The referee quickly caught on to what had happened, and reversed the decision to Cameron Valentine via a DQ allowing the 2nd generation superstar to retain the title. Cameron's night didn't stop there however, as Reece Royale quickly made it a public known fact, that next week, HE will be challenging Valentine for the WWA4 Championship, and with Valentines apparent weakened state, one can only wonder if Reece Royale has found himself in the prime position, to capture the most coveted championship in Atlanta Georgia.
