What a lineup of great fights we had this weekend. Management had its concerns due to injuries plaguing some of the top stars in the area at the moment, but everything shook out quite nicely. Thanks to all the fans that came out.

"The Allstar" Jay Clinton def. Josh Hendrix by pinfall in 8 minutes after a top rope elbow drop. Clinton picks up his first singles victory in GWP. Josh Hendrix, an up & coming light-heavyweight wrestler out of Alabama, made his GWP debut in this contest.

GWP Southern Heavyweight Champion: "The Real" Slim J came out to ringside with a somber, heartfelt message to the fans of Waleska. He explained what happened when The Devil's Rejects attacked Adrian Hawkins at last Saturday's NWA Anarchy TV Taping, and he tried to make the save, but got outnumbered and suffered a neck injury that by physician's orders will keep him from defending that title within the 30 day defense limit. (Although, he's going against doctors orders for one match in an unsanctioned street fight vs. The Rejects at NWA Anarchy's Fright Night 2007 on 9/29 in Cornelia) He said he's man enough to admit that he can't meet his defenses, and therefore he must vacate the GWP Southern Heavyweight Championship.

This brought out The Devil's Rejects, and The Rev taunted Slim, calling him a coward and demanding that Shaun Tempers be crowd the new Southern Heavyweight Champion. Ring Announcer Randy "Tiny" Hughes read a letter sent by GWP Commissioner Jerry Palmer stating that Slim dropped off the title belt at his office earlier in the day, and thanked Slim for representing GWP, The National Wrestling Alliance, and Anarchy wrestling as a true, world class champion. He stated that an 8 man tournament is set to begin on Saturday Night, October 27th to crown the new Southern Heavyweight Champion. He also stated as much as he didn't care personally for Shaun Tempers, he was the first and longest reigning SHC in GWP history, therefore he was named as the first pick in the tournament. It was also announced that at GWP's first Annual Slamfest on Saturday October 13th in Waleska, and there Tempers, along with 3 other participants to be named will compete in a 4 Way Dance, with the winner automatically becoming the #1 Seed in the tournament. Slim & The Rejects exchanged words as Slim bid farewell to his loyal fans.

"Violent Passion" Patrick Bentley (w/ The Rev, Shaun Tempers & Kayla Kaos) defeated Jesse Emerson via submission in about 8 minutes. Emerson rocking his way to ringside to the sounds of Blue Oyster Cult's "Burnin' For You" won over the Waleska fans pretty well immediately. He'd need all the help he could get against this sadist. Emerson was pretty quickly destroyed by Bentley on NWA Anarchy TV the night before, but at least it gave this blue chipper a chance to scout out some offense against the smaller, but way more unorthodox Bentley. Emerson fought back, and fought back hard, hitting a big spinebuster that almost turned the tide but Patrick locked on the "Roach Clip" as a slap in the face to Slim J at the behest of The Reverend, and forced the submission. Emerson got an A for effort, and seemed to gain a fan following.

Shadow Jackson def Kory Chavis (w/ Aaron Voight) by DQ in around 11 minutes. Well, the big guns had officially been called in for this one. In one appearance Shadow Jackson became, by far, the most popular man to ever step foot in Waleska, GA. There's just something about this guy that everyone can relate to. He may be one of the best and most underrated wrestlers in the country right now. Chavis tried to budge the brick wall that is Jackson early on but had no luck. Voight's shenanigans on the outside turned the tide for Chavis and he made sure to capitalize on that. Jackson was able to avoid The Spine Splitta, and hit his signature belly to belly suplex for the 1,2, and almost 3 but Aaron Voight in desperation yanked referee Chris Ganz out of the ring to get intentionally DQ'd as to not give Jackson the satisfaction of a pinfall victory. Chavis & Voight attempted to recover and attack Shadow, but he quickly put a stop to that. Jackson said, since Voight wants to constantly be part of the action, he'd like to make challenge for a wrestler/manager mixed tag team match at Slamfest to settle this score once and for all. Shadow said he'd team with Jerry Palmer, against Chavis & Voight. Chavis reluctantly and angrily accepted after being badgered by Jackson about his courage.

Adam Roberts defeated Jamar Acid with the Main Event Slam in about 5 minutes.

"The Sleeper Cell" Shaun Tempers (w/ The Rev, Kayla Kaos & Patrick Bentley) vs. Big Head Hansen ended with a double countout in around 7 minutes. This was a first time meeting between two of the heavy hitters in GWP. Tempers tried everything he could to take the behemoth, Hansen off his feet, but had no luck with his own brute strength....it finally took resorting to something he's actually pretty good at, but rarely uses and that was basic mat wrestling. Tempers was able to counter the lariat with a dropkick to the knee that looked very devastating and from there implemented the Spinning Toe Hold and picked apart the big man's knee. Hansen is as tough as they come, though. He was able to endure all this and still fight back. After a Hansen spill to the outside, The Rev threw Tempers the Tennessee Chain....but before he could use it, Hansen yanked him out of the ring and one hot brawl was officially on. The two traded cement heavy fists back and forth, Chris Ganz couldn't restore order, therefore counted both men out. What followed was one of the wildest scenes in GWP history. These two continued brawling all around the ringside area, destroying chairs, equipment and furniture, and sending fans scurrying for cover. Hansen was jumped by The Rev & Bentley and beaten down, but no matter what The Rejects threw at him...HANSEN KEPT COMING! After busting through security several times, and knocking every Reject on their butt, Hansen was finally restrained and The Rejects decided they didn't want any more as they tucked tail and ran.

Talent & Money (J.T. Talent & Andrew Pendleton) & GWP Southern Tag Team Champions: The Hollywood Brunettes (Andrew Alexander & Kyle Matthews) defeated The Hellbillies (Jessco Blue & Timbo Bryant) & The Regular Guys (Tyler Smith & Bobby Hill) in an 8 man tag main event, when Andrew Alexander pinned Bobby Hill with his feet on the ropes at around the 16 minute mark. Prior to the match, Regular Guy Tyler Smith announced that after Talent & Money's interference screwing their friends The Hellbillies in what was supposed to be a fair, scientific bout between colleagues, they couldn't possibly accept the #1 Contendership and apologized to all the fans. With the action underway, The “Regularbillies” were able to dominate the opening moments with great 4 man team work. The Brunettes/T&M team were able to use diversionary tactics to distract the referee and take control of the match via illegal triple & quadruple teaming. They isolated Tyler Smith for a long while, but he was able to tag out to Timbo Bryant who fell victim to the same tactics. After avoiding certain doom when The Brunettes almost closed the deal with The Sheeney Curse, Timbo escaped and made the tag to Bobby Hill. Hill came in house of fire and ref Chris Ganz started to lose control. The action spilled to the outside and then a series of Kamikaze dives began that saw Timbo Bryant, Kyle Matthews, and Andrew Pendleton all fly over the top to the outside on a pile of opponents...This was topped then by Tyler Smith (looking slim & trim), did a death defying moonsault to the outside! Bobby Hill figured what the hey, and also prepared to join the fun, but Andrew Alexander was playing possum in the ring and rolled up hill with the assist of his feet on the ropes, for the 1, 2, 3. In the aftermath, Alexander & Matthews taunted the Regular Guys on the mic. "You gave up your #1 Contendership, and you couldn't even beat us tonight, but we're jam up guys, so we'll give you one more title shot at Slamfest on October 13th. But this is the last one you will ever get, and frankly we're tired of beating you all over the country. You can have one more title shot, but only if you agree to end your 4 year tag team relationship if you can't get the job done. If you lose, The Regular Guys can never team up again." Tyler Smith, reflecting on all he, & Hill had been through despite their issues as of late, tried to reason with his partner, but Bobby Hill immediately jumped the gun and accepted the challenge. This lead to some heated arguing from the Regular Guys as the evening came to a close.
