The crowd was around half the size that came for the Fred Ward Memorial, but the action was hot as the crowd saw the beginning of the
tag team tournament, a title change, and midgets.
The Hooligans defeated ‘The 80's Guy’ John Bogie after hitting a sideslam/top rope legdrop combo.
Orion Bishop (w/ Wicked Nemesis) destroyed the debuting Ace Voleur, finally ending the match with a Body Slam Piledriver.
Midget Match: Little Kato (w/ Wicked Nemesis) defeats Puppet. After the match, Puppet de-pants Wicked and steals his cane. He then
challenged Kato to a midget hardcore match the next time they are in GCW and Kato accepted. He even said that Wicked will not be with
him because he doesn't want Puppet to have any excuses after he beats him again.
After the first Intermission there was a ten-bell salute for ‘Shocker’ Sean Evans, who wrestled for GCW when it was in Columbus,
GA. Not exactly sure why this wasn't done at the beginning of the event.
Tag Team Tournament Match: The RJ Connection (Randall Johnson & ‘The Rebel of Royalty’ Reuben James) defeats A.J. Steele
& the Intern to advance in the tournament. James dyed his hair black and Johnson was wearing a knit cap and a wig to hide his bald
head. The end came for Steele and Intern came when Steele was cleaning house and the Intern tagged himself in, much to A.J.'s
surprise. Johnson then hit the Intern with the Celtic Cross for the three count.
Cru Jones (w/ Quentin Michaels) defeats Tex Monroe.
GCW Columbus Title Match: Deathrow defeats ‘The Messiah of the Spinebuster’ David Young after D-Row escaped the
spinebuster attempt and nailed Young with a big boot. I still don't understand why this is called the Columbus Title when GCW is in
Phenix City.
Johnny Swinger & Shaun Banks (w/ Quentin Michaels) defeats ‘Mr. #1’ Sonny Siaki & ‘The Beach Boy’ Scotty Beach after
Swinger made Beach tap out. The end came when basically all heck broke loss. Siaki and Banks brawled through the crowd to the back.
Around this time, Michaels tried to toss Swinger a pair of brass knucks, but Beach caught them. Just as he was about to use them on
Swinger, referee Jeff McGowan saw them and took them away. This caused enough of a distraction for Swinger to hit the Shaft and
quickly follow that up by a submission move.
