OCTOBER 9, 1942 (FRIDAY) – ATLANTA, GA – ATLANTA MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM (Charles Rentrop – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > One-Night Tournament: Ralph Garibaldi defeated Jack Kennedy; Babe Zaharias defeated Marshall Blackstock; Dorv Roche defeated Jack Dillon; Al Massey defeated Chief Chewacki by disqualification; Angelo Cistoldi defeated Charlie Harben; Ben Morgan defeated Roche; Massey defeated Cistoldi; Morgan defeated Garibaldi; Cowboy Luttrall defeated Massey; Morgan defeated Luttrall to win tournament Notes: It was reported that 3,000 were in attendance for this card. The winner of the tournament was to earn a match against the Golden Terror on October 16, 1942. It is believed Babe Etheridge failed to appear, as he was scheduled to participate in the tournament. It is presumed that Babe Zaharias was injured during his victory, as he did not appear in any further matches in the tournament.
