Saul Weingeroff managed Kurt & Karl Von Brauner. The Von Brauners had been billed as World Tag Team Champions since May 18, 1965. Rocky Marciano was the special referee for the match between Buddy Fuller and Mario Galento. Mario Galento had been the reigning Georgia Heavyweight Champion since he defeated Sputnik Monroe on November 13, 1964, in Atlanta.
