The last reference we have shows the Infernos defending the title against Bobby Shane & Mario Galento on April 15, 1966, in Atlanta. It was reported that the winners of the tournament would also receive $5,000. During the tournament, Enrique & Alberto Torres were declared winners of their match with the Infernos when time ran out and judges gave the match to them. The final match of the tournament saw the Torres brothers defeat the Mysterious Medics after the Infernos interfered, throwing a fireball at Medic #2 when the referee was distracted. J.C.
