As part of the stipulation, whereas a masked man on the losing team must unmask, the Spoiler was forced to unmask following the match where he teamed with the Assassins against the Professional & the Kentuckians, and was identified as Mike Davis. Prior to the match, the Spoiler unmasked to prove he was indeed Mike Davis, who had been forced to unmask on April 11, 1969. Gunkel & Fuller had been the reigning World Tag Team Champions since they defeated the Assassins on March 29, 1969, in Atlanta.
