> Southern Heavyweight Title Match: Tom Mahoney defeated Al Massey to win title
Notes: Sunset Carson was on hand to present the Southern Heavyweight Title belt to Tom Mahoney after the match.  Mahoney had reportedly demanded a special referee be assigned to the match with Al Massey, claiming he felt the regular Atlanta referee Bob Shipp would be biased toward his opponent.  The Athletic Commission supposedly informed him that if he failed to appear for the match, he would be suspended indefinitely from wrestling in Atlanta.  This was reportedly the final match of an ongoing tournament to determine the inaugural champion for the new title.  It is unclear what matches leading up to this card were part of the tournament, but it was reported that in addition to Mahoney and Massey, other participants included Rebel Russell, Ralph Garibaldi, Johnny Long, Babe Zaharias, Chris Zaharias, Rex Mobley, Lozano Martinez, and Nick Carter.
