Terry Funk & Dory Funk, Jr., told Capral that they were looking to get their hands on the Assassins to get some revenge for their father Dory Funk, Sr., for a beating the masked men gave him in Texas a couple years back. JULY 5, 1969 (SATURDAY) – ATLANTA, GA – WQXI STUDIOS (Paul Jones – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) Notes: This was taped for the “Atlanta TV Wrestling” television program hosted by Ed Capral. The Assassins joined Capral to address the challenge issued to them by Terry Funk & Dory Funk, Jr., and said they would wrestle them as long as Leo Garibaldi was not assigned to referee the match.
